A Story, that actually strikes Hearts ❤️
The story is about Julaybib

Julaybib, might Allah be happy with him, (The Companion of the Prophet Muhammad) peace be upon him.

His title was uncommon and incomplete. Julaybib (Radhi Allaahu Anhu) means “small grown” being the diminutive type of the phrase “Jalbab.” The title is a sign that Julaybib was small and quick, even of dwarf-like stature. More than that, he’s described as being “damim” which suggests ugly, deformed, or of repulsive look. Even extra disturbing, for the society through which he lived, Julaybib’s lineage was not identified. There isn’t any document of who his mom of his father was or to what tribe he belonged. This was a grave incapacity within the society through which he lived. Julaybib couldn’t count on any compassion or assist, any safety or help from a society that positioned quite a lot of significance on household and tribal connections. In this regard, all that was identified of him was that he was an Arab and that, so far as the brand new group of Islam was involved, he was one of many Ansar. Perhaps he belonged to one of many outlying tribes past Madinah and had drifted into town or he may have even been from among the many Ansar of town itself.

Qur’an Al-Kareem [Surah 33. AL-Ahzab Ayah 36] Tafsir Ibn-Kathir

It will not be for a believer, man or girl, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they need to have any possibility of their choice. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has certainly strayed right into a plain error.

The Reason for Revelation

The disabilities below which Julaybib lived would have been sufficient to have him ridiculed and shunned in any society and actually he was prohibited by one particular person, a sure Abu Barzah of the Aslam tribe, from coming into his house. He as soon as advised his spouse: “Do not let Julaybib enter among you. If he does, I shall certainly do (something terrible to him).” Probably as a result of he was teased and scoffed at within the firm of males, Julaybib used to take refuge within the firm of girls.

Imam Ahmad recorded that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami mentioned: “Julaybib was a man who used to enter upon women and joke with them. I said to my wife, `Do not let Julaybib enter upon you, for if he enters upon you I shall do such and such.’ If any of the Ansar had a single female relative, they would not arrange a marriage for her until they found out whether the Prophet wanted to marry her or not.

The Prophet (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said to one of the Ansar:

«زَوِّجْنِي ابْنَتَك»
(Give me your daughter for marriage.)

He said, `Yes, O Messenger of Allah, it would be an honor and a blessing.’ He said,

«إِنِّي لَسْتُ أُرِيدُهَا لِنَفْسِي»
(I do not want her for myself.)

He said, `Then for whom, O Messenger of Allah’, He (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said,

«لِجُلَيْبِيب»
(For Julaybib)

He said, O Messenger of Allah, let me consult her mother.’ So he went to the girl’s mother and said,The Messenger of Allah is proposing marriage for your daughter.’ She said, Yes, it would be a pleasure.’ He said, He is not proposing to marry her for himself, he is proposing on behalf of Julaybib.’ She said, What! Julaybib No, by Allah, we will not marry her to him.’

“To Julaybib! No, never to Julaybib!

No, by Allah, we shall not marry (her) to him,” she protested. As the Ansari was about to return to the Prophet (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) to tell him of what his spouse had mentioned, the daughter who had heard her mom’s protestations, requested: “Who has asked you to marry me?” Her mom advised her of the Prophet’s request for her hand in marriage to Julaybib. When she heard that the request had come from the Prophet (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) and that her mom was completely against the thought, she was tremendously perturbed and mentioned: “Do you refuse the request of the Messenger of Allah? Send me to him for he shall certainly not bring ruin to me.”

When he wished to stand up and go to the Messenger of Allah to inform him what the woman’s mom had mentioned, the woman requested, Who is asking for my hand’ So her mom advised her, and he or she mentioned, Are you refusing to comply with the command of the Messenger of Allah, Follow his command, for I can’t come to any hurt.’ So her father went to the Messenger of Allah and mentioned, Deal together with her as you would like.’ So he married her to Julaybib.

Then the Messenger of Allah went out on one in every of his army campaigns

And after Allah had granted him (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) victory, he mentioned to his Companions, might Allah be happy with them,

«هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَد»
(See whether or not there may be anyone lacking.)

They mentioned, `We have misplaced so-and-so, and so-and-so.’ He mentioned,

«انْظُرُوا هَلْ تَفْقِدُونَ مِنْ أَحَد»
(See if there may be anyone lacking.)

They mentioned, `No one.’ He mentioned:

«لَكِنَّنِي أَفْقِدُ جُلَيْبِيبًا»
(But I see that Julaybib is lacking.) He mentioned:«
(Go and search for him among the many useless.)

So they appeared for him, and located him beside seven of the enemy whom he had killed earlier than he was himself killed.

They mentioned, `O Messenger of Allah, right here he’s, beside seven of the enemy whom he had killed earlier than he was himself killed.’ The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) got here and stood beside him and mentioned,

«قَتَلَ سَبْعَةً وَقَتَلُوهُ، هَذَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْه»
(He killed seven earlier than he was himself killed. He belongs to me and I belong to him.)

He mentioned this two or thrice, then the Messenger of Allah (Sallalaahu Alaihi wa Sallam) carried him in his arms and held him whereas his grave was dug, then he positioned him in his grave. It was not talked about that he washed him, might Allah be happy with him.”

Thabit, might Allah be happy with him, mentioned: “There was no widow among the Ansar who was more sought after for marriage than that girl.” Ishaq bin `Abdullah bin Abi Talhah requested Thabit, “Do you know how the Messenger of Allah prayed for that girl” He advised him: “He said,

«اللَّهُمَّ صُبَّ عَلَيْهَا الْخَيْرَ صَبًّا وَلَا تَجْعَلْ عَيْشَهَا كَدًّا»
(O Allah, pour blessings upon her and do not make her life hard.)

And this is how it was; there was no widow among the Ansar who was more sought after for marriage than her.”

This is the way it was recorded by Imam Ahmad, in full.
Muslim and An-Nasa’i recorded the story of his loss of life in Al-Fada’il.
Al-Hafiz Abu Umar bin Abd Al-Barr talked about in Al-Istiab that when the woman mentioned in her seclusion,

Are you refusing to comply with the command of the Messenger of Allah’–

This Ayah was revealed:

﴿وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلاَ مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْراً أَن يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ﴾
(It will not be for a believer, man or girl, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they need to have any possibility of their choice.)

It was narrated that Tawus requested Ibn Abbas about praying two Rakahs after Asr and he advised him not to do this. Ibn Abbas recited:

(It will not be for a believer, man or girl, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they need to have any possibility of their choice.)

This Ayah is basic in which means and applies to all issues, i.e., if Allah and His Messenger decreed a matter, nobody has the proper to go towards that, and nobody has any alternative or room for private opinion on this case.

Allah says:

(But no, by your Lord, they will don’t have any religion, till they make you decide in all disputes between them, and discover in themselves no resistance towards your selections, and settle for (them) with full submission.)
(Quran 4:65)

Hence the difficulty of going towards it’s addressed in such robust phrases,
as Allah says:

(And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has certainly strayed right into a plain error.) This is just like the Ayah:﴿فَلْيَحْذَرِ الَّذِينَ يُخَـلِفُونَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ أَن تُصِيبَهُمْ فِتْنَةٌ أَوْ يُصِيبَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ﴾
(And let those that oppose the Messenger’s commandment, beware, lest some Fitnah ought to befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them)
(Quran 24:63).Share this, Baarakallaah Feekum :
